The first week of school is officially over. It was a good week. Isabella came home everyday in a good mood and excited about something new she learned from her teacher. He is fast becoming the favorite teacher since he knows a lot of cool things. There was homework, scripture memorization, spelling words to practice, and papers to be signed. She shared funny stories from lunch time and recess. She learned the names of the new kids in her class. She wore all three new pairs of shoes this week and wore shorts to school for the first time in 4 years (truth be told she was too lazy to deal with buttons on shorts). She didn't complain about getting up early or when it was time to go to bed. She even brushed and styled her own hair once this week. She was a great big sister when Ian went to preschool and she has really come into her own this year. Yes it was a good first week. I can't wait to see what the rest of the school year brings.
