Our dance studio participated in the local Cinco de Mayo parade today. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast and the community really showed us some love as we drove down the parade route.

Halloween Mini Album
I am trying to get a head start on all of my mini albums for the fall and winter holidays. If I can get them all done now then all I need to do later is add photos. I already started my December Daily album and I am working on a Fall album. All I had left to do was a Halloween album. So earlier this week I carved out some time between Ian's nap and Isabella getting home from school to make a Halloween album. I already had all of the Halloween paper, embellishments, and the chipboard album in my scrapbook supply stash so that made this project that much easier to accomplish. I think it came out super cute and I can't wait to add photos of the kids in their costumes. Are you trying to get a jump start on your holiday crafts this year too?

December Daily
I got my December Daily supplies in the mail today. I am so excited! For those of you who don't know what a December Daily is let me try to explain it. It is a mini album for the month of December. You make a mini album with enough pages to add a photo (or more) a day and some journaling to keep track of all the fun things, traditions, and activities that you and your family do during the month of December. I saw lots of scrapbookers blogging about it last year and decided that I would try it this year. Ali Edwards has a great post on her blog about her 2010 December Daily album. I will use it as a guide to get mine assembled. I am excited about doing it but I know it will be a challenge. I think if I make an effort to get my photos printed each week I can keep track of everything and not get behind. I'm going to get the album put together this weekend so it's ready when December gets here. I will keep you posted on my progress! Wish me luck!

Happy Fathers Day
Happy fathers day to my husband. He is the most amazing dad ever. He has been a hands on dad since both of our kids were born. He changed diapers, gave baths, fed, and rocked our babies to sleep. He stays home with them on weekends when I go out of town and doesn’t ask the grandmas for help. He plans father-daughter Disneyland trips every year. He brings back souvenirs from business trips. He goes on bike rides. He lays on the floor to play. He brushes little girls hair and makes sure all the tangles are out. He takes them for ice cream and cleans all the drippy messes. He has water gun fights. He builds sandcastles. He gives piggy back rides. He takes lots of photos and captures everyday moments. He has breakfast with them every morning and dinner with them every night. He goes to recitals and swim lessons. He helps with fundraisers. He takes time off from work to be at assemblies. He brags about his kids. He has lots of pictures of them on his phone. He works hard for our family. He is amazing and we are blessed to have him.
