December Daily Days 7-13

I hope that I'm not the only one who didn't finish their DD album in December.  I have yet to finish it but I am determined to finish it by this weekend so I can start on my Project Life album.  Here are some photos of days 7-13.  I will post the final days pages next week.  Then I will be working on my Project Life album.  I have so many projects that I want to do this year that I am going to have to literally pencil them into my calendar to make sure that they get done.  First things first.  Here is my December Daily. December Daily Days 1-6

I finally had some time on Friday night to work on my December Daily album.  I filled up the pages for days 1-6 and I still have photos for 3 more days.  I am excited about how it's turning out and I decided that I would take as many photos of our daily life and Advent activities this month and then just fill in the pages of the DD.  Taking that approach has been a life saver.  I'm not consumed with finding something everyday to put in the DD but rather filling it up with things as they happen.  I can't wait to do more pages this week.

Time for some Advent activities

Today we started our Advent activities.  I usually start our Advent calendar activities on the first Sunday after our dance recital.  It's just too busy the week before dance recital to think about doing anything extra around here. So today after dinner I pulled out the first card and we got to have hot chocolate with all the fixings.  The kids took baths after dinner then we made our hot chocolate and settled down in the living room for a movie.  It was a great way to end the day and end the busy weekend we had.

Let's get started

It's December 1st and that means that it's time to start my December daily album.  This is the first time I've ever done one and I am so excited about this project.  I was inspired by Ali Edwards and her 2010 December daily album that I decided to do one this year. Check out this post on her blog to see her 2011 DD come together.  Todays DD page is going to be dedicated to the start of our Advent calendar.  Every year we hang it in our entry way and the kids love moving the star from one pocket to the next.  I put our Advent calendar up last Friday and Isabella has been dying to put the star in the first pocket and today she was so excited to finally do it.  I need to add the pictures to the first page but I was able to get the rest of it all done after the kiddos went to bed.  I'm excited to do tomorrows page now. I'm going to keep each day simple and easy so I don't get overwhelmed with it.  Are you doing a December Daily album this year?  If you are please share a link in the comments.

December Daily Storage

With December fast approaching I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed for my December Daily album in one spot to make assembling the album easy.  I scored this super cute suitcase at a local church yard sale and thought it was perfect for keeping all of my December Daily stuff together.  So I stocked it with the album, adhesive, embellishments, journaling cards, washi tape, Thickers, pens, a paper trimmer, and scrap paper.  I just got a box from Elle Studio this weekend with more Christmas themed tags and embellishments that I need to add to the suitcase.  I can't wait to get started on the album.  Keep an eye out for posts on my progress.  

December Daily

I finally finished my December Daily Album.  Now all I need to do is add photos and journaling each day in December.  Once I start doing that I will post photos of the completed pages.  This is the first December Daily I have done so I hope that I keep up with it.  My expectations for the album are just to post one or two photos per day and a little journaling.  I'm sure as I get going I will add more to it on the days that I have more time.  I'm excited to see it come together.
