Thrifting

You all know that thrifting and vintage shopping is one of my most favorite things to do.  So as I prepared to host our preschool graduation party I hit the local thrift stores looking for vintage school theme decor.  I scored lots of books plus a few goodies for myself.  Okay, so a lot of goodies for myself but you'll have to admit that buying a shopping cart full of stuff from a thrift store is definitely more budget friendly than buying a shopping cart full of stuff from Target. I even scored some free stuff from my moms house.  Doesn't get more budget friendly than that!  Here is a glimpse of my most recent thrifted treasure. 

Love me some vintage

I was able to sneak away and have a few hours for myself yesterday.  I went to one of  my new favorite vintage stores and a local Goodwill store where I scored some amazing vintage finds.  

Here is a super cute dress that I just loved and I wore it to church today.  I got lots of compliments on it so it was definitely worth it. 

 Some super amazing purses I found at the same store I got the dress at.  I couldn't decide on my favorite so I got them all. Sometimes you just have to do that.

Here is some milk glass I found and both stores.  I love milk glass.  I'm kind of obsessed with it.  I plan on using some of it on my desk for my scrapbook stuff.  

I found 2 cute milk glass plates.  There are too adorable and I'm not sure if I'll ever use them or just keep on display.

 And lastly some milk glass vases.  I plan on having lots of fresh flowers in the house this spring and summer so I needed more vases.

Vintage Love

Last month I spent the day shopping with some friends for some vintage dresses for a photo shoot we were scheduled to do this month. (It was actually last Saturday and it was the best time ever. I can hardly wait to see the photos.)  I used to shop at all the thrift stores when I was in college.  It was my favorite thing to do between classes and on the weekends.  I still love to go thrifting.  It's even better with friends.  Anyways, during this recent shopping trip my friend Tori found this amazing dress for me to try on and I fell in love with it instantly.  I wasn't the only one who fell in love. Miss. Bella found it in my closet along with my petticoat and heels.  She looks quite lovely in it and I think she has an appreciation not only for vintage dresses.  I'm sure I can convince her to join me on my next vintage clothes shopping trip.  

Thrifty finds

I was able to do some shopping at a few thrift stores today. These lovely treasures got to come home with me. I love vintage luggage so I was over the moon to find this cute suitcase. I think I'm going to use it for scrapbook supplies. Then there is that oh so lovely vintage scale. Yes I know. You hate me for finding something so awesome. Sorry I can't help it. I'm good at finding awesome things. Anyway it will make it's home in my kitchen. I can't wait to find the perfect spot for it. Have you found any thrifty treasures lately?
