Week In The Life-ALL DONE!!!!

I finally finished my Week in the Life album.  I only had Sunday photos to insert into page projectors and to add the daily sheets. I realized as I was putting the daily sheets in the album that I hadn't written anything for Friday-Sunday so I spent some time playing catch up this morning.  Something to remember for next time: keep up with the daily sheets!! Anyway, I am so glad I did this project. It was so much fun and I know that my kids are going to love looking at this album for years to come.  I hope that I stay motivated to do this every year or at least something similar.  My kids love looking at their mini albums and laughing at all of the funny photos and remembering past events and trips that we took as a family.  I hope to get them more involved in next years Week in the Life album. Let them take more photos or have them write down their thoughts each day.  It was a wonderful project that I determined early on would not cause me stress or anxiety.  I knew that I had to approach it thinking that it should be fun and easy.  This frame of mind kept me from giving up half way through the project.  I love the way it turned out and I can't wait for the Mr.G and the kids to see it tonight.  Here are the photos I took this morning of my completed album. Week In The Life- More Sneak Peeks

Here are some more sneak peeks of my Week In The Life album.  I added some photos to the first 3 days and I have the rest of the days still to do.  I'm hoping to add some embellishments and extra overlays to the pages once all the photos have been added.  I'm really enjoying this project and I would love to so something like this again later in the year.  Maybe during the first week of school or during the summer.  It's not as time consuming as I thought it would be and  I love looking at all of the photos I took.  I hope the kids love looking at it over and over again and remember all of the fun things we did during our busy week. I'll post more photos as I continue to put it together.  Once it's all done I'll do one big post with the finished album page by page.  

Week In The Life-Sneak Peek

I started working on my Week In The Life Album on Monday night.  I made a cover page for album and a title page for each day of the week.  I just used kraft paper, washi tape, embellishments,  and various papers for past Studio Calico kits.  I am using an 8.5 x 11 album and two different kinds of page protectors.  I even used my sewing machine to add a little stitching around the pages.  I liked the way they turned out and I can't wait to get it all done so I can post the finished product.  Here are some photos of the pages in their beginning stages.  They are completed now but I haven't taken any photos with my camera yet.  Those photos will come soon.
