Halloween at the Happiest Place on Earth

Yesterday we took a road trip to the happiest place on earth. We try to go to Disneyland every October for the Mickey’s Trick or Treat Halloween (not sure if that’s the official name of the event) but this year we just couldn’t justify the cost of the event tickets so we decided not to participate. We still wanted to take the kids to Disneyland to see all of the Halloween decorations though.  So we planned on Wednesday to take them on Sunday.  We didn’t tell them until they woke up that morning.  They were so surprised and excited and they got ready quick.  We were on the road by 8am and got there in plenty of time to ride a ton of rides at both parks. The weather was perfect and the wait time for most rides wasn’t too bad.  We had a good time and are already planning our December trip.

On the Toy Story shuttle bus on our way to Disneyland.

Trying to decide where to go first.

Walking down Main Street and look what we saw. A big ol' Micky Mouse jack o lantern.

We decided on The Haunted Mansion for our first ride.  Time to get in line with the crowds.

After a few more rides at Disneyland we headed over to DCA and our first ride was the new Ariel ride.  It's one of our favorites.

Then it was off to Toy Story Mania. Another one of our favorite rides.

A quick photo with some cute pumpkins and jack o lanterns before we head over to the Bug's Life rides.

We are looking forward to the Cars rides coming soon!!

I think Heimlich loves candy corn as much as we do.

The Incredibles Show.  I can see Isabella performing at Disneyland as a dancer some day.  Every time we go she talks about it.

Monster's Inc. ride.  Isabella loves that she and Ian can ride together in the front.
Makes her feel like a grown up.

We watched the Muppets in 3D show.

After a long day of fun it was time to put on our pj's and head home.  Of course we had to have our Disneyland dessert on the way.
