29 Things I Love-#29

#29- I love all of you.  Every single person who is in my life.  Friends, family, church family, blog readers, and dance family.  Every one of you brings something special to my life.  You bring me joy and laughter. You bring me encouragement and support. You lift me up in your prayers.  You share in all the good, the bad, and the ugly.  You hold me accountable and make me want to be the woman God wants me to be. You are in my life for a reason and I know that without you my life would not be the same.  Thank you for your friendship, your love, your kindness, and your presence.  You are appreciated.

29 Things I Love-#28

#28- I love that my kids have an amazing group of friends.  They each have a small tight knit group of kids that they love dearly and spend lots of time with.  They go on play dates and sleepovers at each others houses. They go to each others birthday parties.  Isabella has known her closest friends almost her whole life.  Ian has known his closest friends since they were all babies.  They are all growing up together and all of their fondest memories include their best friends and best buddies.

29 Things I Love-#27

#27- I love trying new things.  Over the last year I tried my hand at cross stitching and sewing.  I wasn't too sold on the cross stitching.  That stuff takes a long time and I am a very impatient person when it comes to crafting.  I don't have a lot of time to craft so when I get some crafting time I need to get things done. Unfortunately cross stitching isn't something that you can knock out too quickly.  Well I at least not for me.  I think I worked on the same tea towel for 6 months and it's still not done.  Oh well.  Something I did love doing was sewing.  My mom helped me sew the kids Halloween costumes last year and it was so much fun.  It wasn't without its own set of problems but I survived it and can't wait to make their costumes again this year. I have even used my sewing machine in my scrapbooking. I know that this technique isn't new or anything but it's new to me and I'm hooked.  I wonder what I'll try this year?

29 Things I Love-#26

#26- I love thrifting and vintage shopping.  I love stopping into thrift stores when I'm out and about running errands.  Sometimes I find some really great treasures and other times I come out empty handed.  Here are some of the treasures I have scored over the last year.

29 Things I Love-#25

#25- I love getting  my hair cut and styled.  I am notorious for waiting too long between hair cuts.  My bangs usually end up at my nose before I get back into the salon.  But when I finally make the appointment and get my hair done, it is worth it.  I always feel like a new woman.

29 Things I Love-#24

#24- I love making gifts for friends and family.  In the previous post I showed you all the mini album I made with some leftover scrap paper.  I loved how it turned out and decided I had enough to make one more and give to a friend.  I can't wait to see her mini album filled with photos and embellishments.

29 Things I Love-#23

#23-I love watching these two kiddos sleep.  There is nothing more peaceful than seeing your babies at rest.  Even if they choose to do that rest in your bed.  Even when they interrupt your sleep by climbing into your bed at all hours of the night and stick their feet and knees in your back, it's still a sweet sight.

29 Things I Love-#22

#22- I love watching Isabella grow as a dancer.  She has danced since she was 3 and I remember the first time I saw her dance on stage in her very first recital. I cried.  It was the most amazing feeling to see this little tiny girl up on stage smiling for the audience and giving the performance of her life.  She fell in love with dancing and performing and has just started her 6th year of dance.  She has done ballet, tap, and hip hop.  She has dreams of owning her own dance studio and teaching ballet.  She has really come into her own and found something she truly loves to do.  I pray that God would use this talent for His glory and in His plan for her life.

29 Things I Love-#21

#21- I love when our CBS kids get to sing for the ladies.  It is such a precious time to watch sing their praises to God.  They have such a love for the Lord and so when they have this opportunity to share it with the ladies they give it all they've got.  I remember watching Isabella sing when she was in CBS and it melted my heart every time.  Now it's Ian's turn.  He melts my heart too.  The melting usually comes after a stern look and a prayer that he would cooperate with the group but it still melts.

29 Things I Love-#20

#20-I love spending quality time with my kiddos. Even if that means spending lots of time outdoors (not my favorite place) looking at snails, digging in the dirt, playing with bubbles, and playing soccer.  Yesterday Ian and I took advantage of the beautiful day and spent some time outside after lunch.  We did all of the above and had a great time.  It was nice to be able to put off the laundry and housework for one hour and do all of the things he wanted to do before nap time.  These are the moments to take advantage of because before I know it he will be in school all day.  I look forward to the summer when both of my kiddos will be home and we can slow down and enjoy the day.

29 Things I Love-#19

#19- I love making sweet treats with my kiddos.  Isabella and I made these yummy treats for Ian's preschool friends.  Of course we made enough for us too.

29 Things I Love-#18

#18- Getting pedicures from my sweet girl.  Isabella was nice enough to give me a pedicure last week.  She filled a bowl with water and gave my feet a nice scrub.  She pushed the cuticles back and brought out a wide selection of nail polishes for me to choose from.  After I picked a clear glitter polish she painted my toes and made sure they looked just right.  It was a really nice treat and I thought it was only right to return the favor.  So we each ended the day with some quality mother daughter time and some super cute painted toe nails.

29 Things I Love-#17

#17- I love family movie night.  Candy, popcorn, and whatever else suits our fancy.  Tonight we're watching Rio and I think it's going to be a fun night.  Hope no one gets a tummy ache because they ate too much junk food.

29 Things I Love-#16

#16- Going on retreat.  Every year our Community Bible Study Leaders Council goes on retreat.   I always look forward to it and it is the highlight of the CBS year.  We have such a wonderful time.  It is a time of refreshment, renewal, and fellowship.  I can't tell you how much this retreat impacted me.  I didn't realize how much I had slacked in my quiet time with God and in my own spiritual walk with the Lord.  I am good about doing my Bible studies every week but I hadn't set aside any time to just sit in the Lords presence and just let Him speak to me. I wasn't meditating on the scripture or reflecting on the day and looking for Gods presence in the days happenings.  I came away with a new fire and passion to grow in Christ.  I came away with some new tools to help get me back on track and make God a priority.  I ordered a new devotional to read everyday and I am going to start journaling again.  I was truly blessed by this weekend and everything that was presented to us.  I am excited about putting all of these new spiritual tools into practice and seeing God work in my life.

29 Things I Love-#15

#15-I love going on family trips to the happiest place on earth.  Mr.G took me to Disneyland for Christmas when we were dating.  We've been going every year for Christmas ever since.  We took Isabella for the first time when she was about 18 months old.  She loved it then and still loves it.  We took Ian to Disneyland for the first time when he was 3 months old.  I know, that's crazy but it was only a day trip and it actually went really well.  He absolutely loves Disneyland too.  We go at least 4 times a year which isn't bad considering when Isabella was a toddler we used to go about every 2 months.  We took a quick trip to Disneyland this past weekend.  It was a little busier than we would have liked but we still has the best time.  We got on all of our favorite rides and I took a ton of pictures as usual.
